The following column revamp cases can be considered when customers are looking for more capacity and better efficiency or lower pressure drop. The old generation random packing can be easily substituted by high performance random packing without any change of tower attachment. This can be also applied to structured packing, but requires a slight modification of tower attachment. Conventional tray columns can be directly revamped to high capacity trays for their performance improvement.
